Remember back in the day when we had two guys with the same (pronounced) last name? If you weren't an Oilers fan, you probably knew that one of them was the captain, but were probably wrong as to which one.
Captain Canada left at the trade deadline and now the Oilers' Captain is off to Philly. (Word on the street is that Smyth is returning to our conference - Colorado bound, gag.)
So, who steps in to fill the void?
Dare I say it? 2006's Hot-Oil Hot-Off winner? Ethan "Hot-Oil Hot-Off winner" Moreau?
Oh, by the way, Ol' Blue Eyes is gone. I'm terrified he will stop being consistently useless to the 4-goal-a-game wonder we thought we were getting.

Sounds like Lupul just wasn't going to work out here anyway. Maybe he will bloom in Philly, we'll see I guess.
Poor Roli will have to deal with Smyth on his doorstep again, though Smyth once said Roli was one player he didn't like to play against (TSN interview a few months ago).
I'm going to miss Sykora's super-cute accent and his consistent crotch grabbing/adjusting. :( :( :(
As for Lupul, I'm pissed off that I bought a Lupul jersey. I thought for sure Lowe would have given him one more season to prove that he can score 30 goals. He's gonna score score 48 goals with the Flyers now, playing on Briere's line.
Damn Joffrey and those 'dreamy eyes'of his, suckered me into buying his jersey. It's going to go to ebay now. Fuck you Lupes!
