Hot Oil Hot Off Day 6: The Champ vs. My Daddy Works for the Organization

Why did we even do this? Moreau wins.




Ethan Moreau, above, is last year's Hot Off champion. Did he acknowledge the great honour bestowed upon him? No. But he likes to entertain children.

Robert Nilsson has been fairly impressive in the pre-season. He likes to bite his lip in concentration. Short of his daddy forcing a win, I don't think there's much Nilsson can do to take out Chompy.

I agree with whoever said that this competition is ultimately going to come down to Moreau and Souray. And that will be one tough choice. But for now I'm going with Moreau all the way.

Give me Robert Nilsson. Smooth-skating brilliance is always hot. Mini-magic, also hot. All Swedes except Daniel Tjarnqvist and Tommy 'Gunn' Salo? Double plus hot.

I do like Nilsson, and I've rooted for him since he was drafted by the Isles (holy mother they've traded a lot of talent over the years)...but Moreau does have the 'make you ovulate from across the room' ability which I'm not sure is limited to women only.

Moreau it is...poor Nilsson didn't stand a chance.
