GOCANADA!
Looks like Stevie Y is moving in on my boyfriend Dwayne Roloson, naming him as one of the first five players added to the Team Canada roster for the 2007 IIHF World Men's Hockey Championship. Back off, Yzerman!
The festivities begin on April 28, and I can't wait to watch my favourite goalie on a team that can actually, you know, play hockey.
Also, am I the only one surprised that Roli managed to keep a SV% above .9 this season despite playing behind of a black hole of suck? Hot!

I wonder if there's any way I'm going to be able to see any of these games without having to actually go to Moscow?
That wouldn't be so bad, really..... Hmmmmm....
But I don't know for sure.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANADA!

Particularly since Andrew Ladd was born in Maple Ridge and isn't getting within ten feet of anybody's national team unless he had a grandparent from Kazakhstan.
I've actually been watching the SV%s all year only because MacT or Lowe mentioned it as one of the reasons they were looking at him last year. He won some award, the Roger Crozier Saving Grace (based on the SV%) in 03-04, beating out Kipper and Luongo.
To Pleasure Motors re: MAB
Funny. Without ever counting, it did seem like there were several times over the season where it looked like MAB was trying to hurt Roli (again) and he couldn't help himself. Like the net was some wonky magnet for him.
Or, for those of you who remember the Kids in the Hall skit where one guy's mental tape goes from "never, never put salt in your eye" to "always, always put salt in your eye". For MAB it was "Protect our Goalie" to "Maim our Goalie".
Anyway...
Go Canada! Go Roli!! Happy for ya.

I'm sure some Cdn sports channel will broadcast the games.

Worlds are on TSN.
Yes, but I live in America, and we don't believe in hockey on TV. We need to save the airtime for NFL draft specualtion and reruns of the 1974 PBA Bowling championships.
