Day 16: The men who tried to save Christmas, but more importantly, the Stanley Cup Finals
This is a really TOUGH one for me. I can't even write something satirical. Truth is, both of these guys hold a very special place in my heart. I've been a Jussi fan for ages and was sad to see him go to NYR. But like my boy Marty, he came back to where he belonged.
Fernando was the gem in my playoff crown. Not to go back to Marty stories, but when he left, I needed a new favorite skater and always had a soft spot for the RPM line. Pisani, an underdog of epic proportions, filled the void.These are two of my faves. It's really tough to think that after tomorrow, one will be out of the competition. And in just over a week, the other will be eliminated by the force. That is, Dwayne Roloson.
Vote wisely. I love you all.

Pisani won my heart in the payoffs...although I miss the beard. The whole Edmonton homeboy, little Italy connection makes me love him more....
Difficult, but I have to go with Fernando on this one.
Also because you know Roli will roll over Jussi if they go head to head... at least if Pisani goes to the next round there will be some competition.
Yes, Jussi helped get us to game 7 - a feat nobody believed possible when Roli was taken out - but without Fernando, would we have even made it to the Finals?
My vote goes to Pisani. And you're all on notice if a backup goaltender wins over someone that ABBA wrote a song about long before they even knew why.

Jussi it is - that's not the greatest pic of him, but he has a killer charming smile.
Blondes finns hold a special place in my heart (hello Niinimaa!), although I tend to like the dark-haired, dark-eyed dudes.
I heart him, I lust for him, I will give him my organs to save his life.
Allow me to illustrate:
He smiles like a Ken Doll! And in action, he does silly acrobatics so the camera can catch him.
He has a Snappy style of fashion, better than some Russians (I'm looking at you Ovie). And he looks better coming out of a plane.
Plus he's all man.
And I'm sure he can lift a lot of weights in blue shorts

And he has a son named Olli people! Just add an R and he'll make you all melty! and when he left for his kid to be born, he came back to the NYR to record a shutout! Including Messier's 685th career goal! No one says the Juice aint a badass!
